Myself and two friends visited impromptu and were delighted at the speed of service and the politeness of all the staff. Our hostess was Jasmine and she did fantastic throughout. Ensured everything was to our liking and was very knowledgeable when asked questions about the food and drink. For the quality and portion sizes the costs are more than justified. Delightful evening!
The food was so tasty! Staff was super friendly, funny and polite! The goat cheese with redbeet salsa is my ultimate favorite! The green olives were quite raw/fresh, we would prefer other type but these were good too. Overall amazing food and vibe, I definitely recommend!
I absolutely love the River Grille! It’s got such a lovely vibe to it and it’s never been particularly rammed whenever we’ve been. Even with guests, it’s still not loud and there’s calming music playing in the background. The setting is so lovely with plenty of light and a nice view of the harbour side. In terms of food, we had the Sunday lunch and most of us had 1 course, with one having the 2 course option. I had the beef as well as some of my family members and another having chicken - WOW! The beef was cooked rare and was perfect, so juicy and bursting with flavour. The portions are very generous too - my mam had half a chicken! All the trimmings are gorgeous too with lovely seasoning that isn’t just overwhelmed with garlic, and all cooked to perfection. You get the meat and Yorkshire separate on a plate and then can just add on your trimmings when brought to the table. Cauliflower cheese is included in the roast price as well and they are happy to bring you extras free of charge. In terms of value for money, 1 course (just the main) was 23 which is brilliant for what you get and the quality. Even those who chose the two course meal only paid 29 and the dessert was massive! The food also came out in a decent time which was great, and we had some cocktails too which were very tasty (although a bit expensive at 12). The service was excellent with really friendly and attentive servers. They would check on us regularly and got us everything we needed. Shoutout to Jerome and Joe who were our servers today! My family were very impressed and it honestly made their day, will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!
The staff are so friendly and welcoming here. It's a shame that I forgot her name as she introduced herself and told us shes going to be our waiter for the evening which was really refreshing. Food is so tasty aswell, we ordered the scallops, chicken Milanese, lamb and the burnt basque cheesecakes. They also gave us some complimentary canape's to start with which was really nice of them.
Came here for my birthday with a friend and I had found a deal via first table. The interior was beautiful, the service was good ( although I did have to ask a couple times for water - it was a warm day and I was quite thirsty, I should have asked them to leave the jug at the table to be honest). The drinks and food were good, the only thing was the triple cooked chips which I expected to be super crispy - just tasted like soft fried chips, a bit on the over cooked side. They had a made a macaron and berry dessert plate as a surprise for my birthday which was a super lovely gesture. I'd definitely come again some day to try other things from the menu as the ambience and service was good!
We came for afternoon tea last year and it was amazing, so we decided to try it again for Valentine's Day. Well, we weren't disappointed, the tea was delicious and the staff, especially Javier, Daisy and Orla were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this place. 10/10 from this diner.
Exceptionally fulfilling food. Great location. We sat right next to the long full size Window overlooking the riverside Walk. It was lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. The service was efficient and responsive. Orlaith was the service attendent who took our order. We took all of her suggestions and we were glad that we did. The food was delicious. Looked small portions but very fulfilling and Aesthetically beautifully presented. All staff were smiling and attentive at all times. It is a high end restaurant and I think the prices are worth the quality of food and the environment.
My friend and I visited the River Grille whilst on a day trip to Bristol to celebrate her birthday. We were both really impressed with the welcome we received. The staff were so friendly, polite and inviting. The meal fell into the lunch menu time and was excellent. A special effort was made for my friend, with a complementary glass of wine and a decorated "happy birthday" plate, written in chocolate sauce, with macaroons and fresh fruit. A second trip to Bristol and the River Grille is definitely on the cards. Thank you.
